John Dougherty is an experienced city management professional with a robust background in municipal leadership. Currently serving as City Manager for the City of Cortez since July 2018, John Dougherty also holds a position as Manager in Transition, actively seeking new opportunities in city management. Previous roles include City Manager for the City of Kingman, AZ, starting in November 2013, and Senior Municipal Services Consultant at Granite Development Resources from February to November 2013. John Dougherty also served as City Administrator for the City of Reedsburg, WI, from July 2008 to September 2011. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Political Science and Government from Western Illinois University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Eastern Illinois University.
