In their tenure at Star Sports, they have handled a bunch of assignments, including launching regional sports channels across India with specific marketing, content, and distribution focus. Samir has also worked on Premium Sports, where they have worked on F1, Tennis, Boxing, and TT along with their football assignment. Samir has achieved many successes in their career, including record ratings for Hero ISL in both seasons and currently holding the record for the 3rd most attended football league in the world with an average attendance of 27090 people. At Star TV, they worked on Star Plus which is India's No 1 GEC channel and the largest channel in the Star TV bouquet. As Channel Brand Head - Star Plus, their primary role was divided into 4 parts: looking after the Channel brand and strategic positioning and keeping that fresh and accurate for the channel; media planning for all the shows across the channel; looking after specific actionable markets and TG's and how to improve share across these pieces; and looking after consumer insights and research for the channel. Samir was the project lead on Satyamev Jayate - Season 2 & 3 for Star Network. Samir successfully planned, piloted, and executed the Star Network foray into LC1 resulting in Star Plus emerging as the highest rated channel in all new LC1 markets.
Samir Vora attended SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies from 1999 to 2001, where they earned their MBA in marketing.
