Rod Christie has a wide range of work experience in the technology sector. Rod is currently working as a Sr. Systems Engineer at Versa Networks. Prior to that, they worked as a Fortinet Pre-Sales at Wavelink AU from 2021 to 2022. Rod also served as a Senior Channel Sales Engineer at SonicWall in 2020. From 2019 to 2020, they worked as a Solutions Architect at Communications Design and Management. Before that, they worked as a Fortinet Pre Sales/Security Engineer at Exclusive Networks Pacific from 2019 to 2019. Rod's work experience also includes Solutions Architect - Fortinet at Ingram Micro from 2017 to 2019, Infrastructure Team Leader and Network Engineer at APN Holdings Ltd from 2001 to 2017, Systems Engineer at Lanscape Ltd in 2000, and Network Engineer at Woolworths NZ Ltd in 1999.

Rod Christie studied at The University of Auckland from 1992 to 1994, where they earned a Diploma in Business Information Technology. In addition to their formal education, Rod has obtained various certifications related to Fortinet, including Fortinet NSE7 SD-WAN in May 2021, Fortinet NSE5 Certified Trainer in May 2019, Fortinet NSE5 in March 2018, Fortinet NSE4 Certified Trainer in December 2017, Fortinet NSE7 Enterprise Firewall in December 2017, and Fortinet NSE4 in June 2017.
