Ashwin Kini began their work experience in 2016 as a Software Engineering Intern at Juniper Networks. During this internship, they worked in the Security flow team, where they designed and developed a trace mechanism system for Juniper's SRX firewall devices. This system aimed to combine and filter traces from multiple modules and send them to the Control plane from the Data plane.

In 2016, Ashwin also worked as a Graduate Student Assistant at Arizona State University. Their responsibilities included assisting and grading the undergraduate course CSE 466, as well as clearing doubts related to assignments and conducting weekly office hours.

Ashwin then joined Juniper Networks as a Software Engineer 2 in 2017. In this role, they worked on various software engineering projects until 2019, when they were promoted to the position of Software Engineer 3.

In 2019, Ashwin joined Versa Networks as a Senior Software Engineer, and they are currently in this role.

Ashwin Kini obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology from COEP Technological University from the years 2011 to 2015. Ashwin then pursued a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Arizona State University, completing it from 2015 to 2017. Prior to their undergraduate studies, they completed their 12th (HSC) from St Josephs Junior College in the years 2009 to 2011. Ashwin had also completed their 10th (SSC) from St Marys High School in the year 2009. In addition to their formal education, Ashwin Kini has obtained various certifications such as "AMCAT Certified Business Analyst," "AMCAT Certified Corporate Communications Professional," "AMCAT Certified Data Processing Specialist," "AMCAT Certified Software Engineer - IT Services," "AMCAT Certified Software Engineer - Product," and "Introduction to Juniper Technology" from Aspiring Minds and Juniper Networks respectively.
