Erin McPherson is a seasoned media and entertainment executive currently serving as Senior Vice President and Chief Content Officer at Verizon since December 2016. Previously, Erin held the position of Chief Content Officer at Maker Studios Inc, a next-generation media and technology firm acquired by The Walt Disney Company, from November 2013 to September 2015. Erin also worked at Yahoo!, Inc. as VP & Head of Video from July 2010 to November 2013, overseeing licensed content and original production, and earlier as VP of Business Development from February 2007 to 2010. Before joining Yahoo!, Inc., Erin was an Entertainment Attorney at Stone, Meyer, Genow, Smelkinson & Binder, LLP, and served as Legal Counsel for LivePlanet from 2000 to 2002. Erin McPherson holds a Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Middlebury College.
