Ferrol Macon has over 25 years of work experience in the IT industry. Ferrol is currently the Sr. Vice President of Architecture and Strategy at Verinext, where they lead the company's customer engagement model focused on a platform-led approach to help customers transition to a cloud operating model. Prior to this, Ferrol served as the Vice President of Architecture and Strategy at Verinext, where they played a key role in advancing the technology foundation to provide speed and flexibility for business environments.
Before joining Verinext, Ferrol worked at Cisco Systems as a Sales Business Development Manager, where they focused on the development and implementation of go-to-market plans for data center technologies. Ferrol also worked at Softchoice Corporation as a Director of Storage and Data Solutions, leading a $130 million business unit and managing sales training and solution architect teams.
Ferrol's experience also includes a role as the Director of Data Center Solutions at Presidio Networked Solutions, where they led pre-sales activities for data center technologies and managed a team responsible for server virtualization, storage, data management, and disaster recovery. Ferrol also worked at Mosaic Consulting Group as an Executive Pastor/Consultant, overseeing the design and implementation of various service areas within a church and the community.
Earlier in their career, Ferrol held positions at Solarcom (now Presidio Networked Solutions), Veritas Technologies, StorageNetworks, and Datalink Corporation, where they focused on storage technologies, business development, and providing mission-critical solutions to enterprise accounts.
Throughout their career, Ferrol has demonstrated strong leadership and expertise in driving sales, developing go-to-market strategies, and delivering successful projects.
Ferrol Macon graduated from Tulane University in 1988 with a B.S.E. degree in Engineering, specializing in organizational behavior and business communications. In the same year, Ferrol also pursued additional coursework in Nuclear Engineering at the US Department of Energy.
