Robert Burch

Robert Burch has a diverse and extensive work experience. Robert started their career as a Drilling Engineer at Shell in 1995 and worked there until 1998. Robert then moved on to work at Britvic as a Project Engineer from 1999 to 2000. Robert joined Bain & Co in 2000 as a Consultant and stayed until 2006.

In 2006, they joined Avis and held various roles, including European Revenue Manager, Director of Revenue Management, Director of Group Strategy and Revenue Management, and Group Strategy Director and Director of IT Strategy, Planning & Architecture. Robert played a key role in the turnaround of Avis Europe, leading to its purchase by Avis Budget Group.

Robert then worked at Regus as the Global Operations Director from 2014 to 2016, overseeing Operations and Customer Service across their global network of business centers. Robert joined United Technologies in 2016 as the Growth Director, where they designed and implemented new revenue growth initiatives. From 2017 to 2019, they served as the Operations Director for United Technologies.

Currently, Robert is the CEO of Verdel Instruments, where they lead a team in commercializing 2D Mass Spectrometry innovation developed by the University of Warwick. Their goal is to introduce exciting applications of Mass Spectrometry to new industries and improve data quality and acquisition speed in existing markets.

In 2012, Robert took a sabbatical and became a Yacht Skipper, sailing from the UK to the Caribbean and back with their family. This experience gave them valuable perspectives and confidence.

Robert Burch obtained their MA degree in Engineering from the University of Cambridge, where they attended from 1991 to 1994.
