Carla Romero has a diverse range of work experience in the field of Human Resources. Carla started their career as a Trainee Chartered Accountant at Crowe Clark Whitehill LLP and later transitioned into the role of Payroll Manager at RJCA Chartered Accountants. During their time at RJCA, Carla managed a team and successfully expanded their client base.

Carla then worked as a Human Resources Consultant at CRHR Solutions before returning to Crowe Clark Whitehill LLP as an HR Advisor. In this role, they provided support to the Reading branch and also worked as a freelancer for EIP, an intellectual property law firm.

Following their time at Crowe Clark Whitehill LLP, Carla joined EIP as the HR Manager (Head of Dept). Carla successfully implemented an integrated HR & Payroll System, requiring data processing, payroll and systems knowledge, and change management skills. Carla demonstrated their ability to build trust with both the founding partners and employees and aligned HR activities with the business strategy.

Currently, Carla is the Head of People Services at Vercity. Carla leads a significant HR digital transformation project, focusing on improving the employee experience through system design and process automation. Carla has demonstrated their skills in leadership, change management, and business process re-engineering.

Throughout their career, Carla has consistently shown their expertise in HR and their ability to adapt to new environments and challenges.

Carla Romero obtained their BA Hons 2:1 degree in German and Management Studies from the University of Reading, where they studied from 1997 to 2001. Following this, they pursued a post-graduate degree in Human Resource Management at the University of West London from 2005 to 2007. Carla has also obtained the certification of MCIPD from the CIPD, with the specific month and year of obtaining this certification not provided.
