Bhodi (Michael) Tims is a seasoned professional in the field of herbal medicine and botanical research. Since 2019, Tims has held multiple roles at Maryland University of Integrative Health, including Program Manager for Cannabis Science and Herbal Product Design, and Director of the Botanical Pharmacognosy Lab, where research focuses on clinical applications, method development, and the chemical ecology of medicinal plants. Tims also serves as Vice President on the Board of Directors for Verax Research and previously founded Radix Medicina, specializing in herbal formulary development and science writing. Tims' background includes a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, where significant contributions were made to the development of botanical Standard Reference Material. Tims holds a Doctorate in Plant Biology and Chemical Ecology from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor’s degree in English/Writing from George Mason University.
