Smitha Sivaraman currently serves as Vice President and Head of Medical Affairs at Verastem Oncology since May 2024. Prior to this role, Smitha was Vice President and Head of Medical Affairs at Gamida Cell Ltd. from January 2021 to April 2024, where a robust medical affairs organization was established, successfully executing strategies for the launch of the cellular therapy donor source Omisirge. Smitha's extensive experience at Incyte, spanning from February 2011 to January 2021, includes leadership roles such as Senior Director and core medical team lead for various hematological and solid tumor therapies, in addition to mentoring medical affairs team members. Smitha's earlier career encompassed significant positions at Monogram Biosciences, Genentech BioOncology, Biogen Idec, and Rush University Medical Center, complemented by a strong academic background with a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Mumbai and an MBA in Pharmaceutical Marketing and Management from Saint Joseph's University.
