Maria Velasco is an experienced professional in the field of biotechnology, currently serving as a Clinical Scientist at Veracyte, Inc. since February 2022, focusing on clinical and technical documentation for IVDR and documenting scientific validity through technical writing. Previously, Maria held the position of Development Scientist, designing and overseeing experimental protocols for IVDR molecular diagnostic kits, and worked as a Project Manager at XplorADN, where responsibilities included product development, project management, and selection of molecular biology reagents. Additionally, Maria has academic experience as a Molecular Diagnostics Professor at Tecnológico de Monterrey and previously contributed as a Research Specialist and Technical Analyst in various organizations. Maria holds a Master’s degree in Biotechnology from ITESM Campus Monterrey and a Bachelor of Engineering in Biotechnology from Tecnológico de Monterrey.
