Katie Vignola has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Katie currently holds the position of Sr. Director, Business Development at Veracyte, Inc., starting in January 2023. Prior to this, Katie served as the Director of Corporate Strategy at Exact Sciences from March 2021 to January 2023.

Before joining Exact Sciences, Katie worked at BD as an Associate Director of Strategic Innovation from May 2016 to March 2021. Katie began their professional career at McKinsey & Company, where they served as an Associate from September 2013 to January 2016.

Katie pursued their MBA at Columbia Business School from August 2011 to May 2013, during which they gained further professional experience as a Summer Intern at Sanofi in 2012 and as a Sr. Study Director at Metabolon in 2011.

Katie started their career as a Scientist at Almac Group from January 2009 to November 2010.

Katie Vignola has an extensive education history. Katie obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology from Virginia Tech, attending from 1999 to 2003. Following this, they pursued a doctoral degree and earned a PhD in Molecular Genetics and Microbiology from Duke University. Their studies at Duke spanned from 2003 to 2008. Lastly, they attended Columbia Business School and received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree between 2011 and 2013.
