Jan DuMond serves as a Mental Health Counselor at Vera French Community Mental Health Center since July 2019 and as an Adjunct Professor at Northwestern University since January 2022. Previously, Jan worked as a Care Coordinator at Families First Davenport, focusing on preserving family units and strengthening caretaker capacities to reduce child maltreatment risks, as well as holding the role of Mental Health Counselor at Community Center Counseling Services and Residential Counselor at Family Resources for adjudicated youth. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Psychodynamic Counseling from Northwestern University and participation in an Emotion-Focused Therapy Externship, alongside a Bachelor's degree from Western Illinois University and a high school degree focused on Physical Sciences.
