James Harris

James Harris has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. James is currently working as a Consultant at Ventus Solutions (VES) since October 2022. Prior to this, they worked at CNA Corporation as a Systems Engineer III from August 2019 to October 2022. In this role, they managed four development teams, provided insight into process improvement, and drove overall business requirements.

Before that, James served in the US Navy in different positions. From June 2018 to July 2019, they were a Tactical Systems Officer responsible for managing all tactical systems onboard a submarine and training watch standers on tactics and contact management. From March 2017 to March 2018, they served as the Main Propulsion Assistant.

James Harris has a diverse education history. James obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in Computer Engineering and Naval Science from Villanova University, where they studied from 2010 to 2014. Subsequently, in 2014 and 2015, they attended the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command (NNPTC) to specialize in Nuclear Engineering. Additionally, from 2015 to 2016, they pursued Nuclear Management studies at NPTU Ballston Spa.

In 2017, James attended the Submarine Officer Basic Course to enhance their knowledge in Submarine Ship Control and Contact Management. Later, in 2019, they pursued a Master's degree in Engineering Management at the Duke University Pratt School of Engineering, which they completed in 2021.

Furthermore, James has obtained several certifications to augment their skill set. In September 2020, they became an Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner through IBM. In May 2022, they completed certifications in Introduction to Digital Twins, IoT Foundations: Fundamentals, and Machine Learning and AI Foundations: Producing Explainable AI (XAI) and Interpretable Machine Learning Solutions, all from LinkedIn.
