Akano Adebayo Matthew is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in fund operations, internal audit, and corporate compliance. Currently serving as the Head of Fund Operations at Ventures Platform Fund since June 2016, Akano provides strategic direction to various functions, including fund administration and ESG initiatives. Akano has also held significant roles such as Environmental, Social & Business Integrity Officer and Co-Founder at Quayo Ecosense Limited, and Corporate Controller at Ventoven Limited. Previous positions include Vice President and Head of Internal Audit & Corporate Compliance at Emerging Platforms Ltd, and roles in internal audit at Visafone Communications Limited and Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation. Akano holds a PhD in Forensic Accounting & Audit, a Master's degree in the same field from Charisma University, and completed an Executive Education program at the University of Oxford.
