Tim Wagner has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Tim is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Vendia, where they help customers leverage business data across companies, departments, and clouds. Tim also founded ServerlessTech, an open-source arm that fosters Serverless innovation and aims to create a Serverless Supercomputer. Tim was the VP of Engineering at Coinbase, where they played a key role in creating an open, secure, and accessible financial system. Tim was responsible for doubling the size of the engineering team and oversaw a significant increase in the number of supported assets while migrating to a serverless architecture. Prior to that, Tim worked at Amazon Web Services as the General Manager for AWS Lambda, Amazon API Gateway, and AWS Serverless App Repository. Tim played a crucial role in starting the serverless movement and drove innovation in the industry. Tim also held various roles at Microsoft, BEA, Eclipse Foundation, Nimble Technology, and Reasoning, where they contributed to development and engineering efforts.
Tim Wagner attended Princeton University from 1985 to 1989, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Following that, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley from 1989 to 1996.
