Antonios Samprakos

Head of Business Intelligence at VELTI PLC

Antonios Samprakos has a range of experience in the field of business intelligence, starting with their role as a Data Analyst Consultant at Premium Consulting from September 2011 to September 2012. Antonios then moved on to become a Lead Data Analyst in Project GreeTia Green Transports at the Department of Shipping, Trade and Transport - University of the Aegean from May 2012 to May 2015.

In 2010, Samprakos joined the University of Piraeus as an Outsourced Data & Financial Analyst, where they worked on various projects such as feasibility studies, quality of life cost assessments, and valuing the loss of profits of public railway companies. This role lasted until November 2018.

From 2016 to 2018, Samprakos worked at the 2nd Regional Healthcare Administration of Piraeus and Aegean Islands as a Lead Data Analyst. In this position, they evaluated KPIs and forecast models in Aegean island and Piraeus hospitals, and also served as the lead budget statistician modeler for Greece's hospitals.

In 2018, Samprakos joined IRI as a Senior Analyst, a role they held until October 2019. Antonios then moved on to work at Velti, initially as a Business Intelligence Analyst from November 2019 to October 2022, then as a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst from October 2022 to March 2023. Currently, they are serving as the Head of Business Intelligence at Velti, starting from March 2023.

Additionally, Samprakos briefly worked as a Business Intelligence Analyst at the European Investment Bank (EIB) in June 2022.

Antonios Samprakos holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Applied Statistics In Finance from the University of Piraeus, which they obtained from 2010 to 2012. Antonios later pursued an Advanced Business Analytics certification from the Price Waterhouse Coopers Academy in 2018. Prior to that, from 2004 to 2010, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Statistics & Actuarial Financial Mathematics at the University of the Aegean.
