Margarita Popova began their work experience in 2009 with an internship in human resources at Overgas Inc. In 2012, they participated in various international business student meetings and also worked on a business simulation at METRO Cash and Carry Bulgaria. Margarita then served as an executive assistant for Hewlett-Packard at Sofica Group from 2012 to 2013, where they provided support in diary management, event planning, document management, reporting, and procurement. From 2013 to 2017, Margarita worked at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, first as a software administrative assistant and then as a sales operations support specialist. In these roles, they were responsible for tasks such as headcount management, budget analysis, and coordinating with different teams. Following their time at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, they worked as an operational analytics specialist at Telenor in 2017. From 2017 to 2023, Margarita worked at DXC Technology as a senior business operations analyst, focusing on account operations activities such as developing customer relationships, reviewing contracts, and managing invoicing and expenses. In 2023, they joined Velexa as a sales operations specialist.
Margarita Popova has a diverse education history. Margarita received their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Strategic Management from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, where they studied from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor's degree in Economics from the same university, graduating in 2012.
In 2011, Margarita participated in the Erasmus Exchange Program and studied International Business, Tourism, and Hospitality at Savonia University of Applied Sciences.
Before pursuing higher education, Margarita completed their secondary education at the National High School of Mathematics and Science from 2003 to 2008, specializing in Mathematics and Informatics. Prior to that, they attended the High School of Mathematics and Science "Prof. Emanuil Ivanov" in Kyustendil from 2000 to 2003.
In addition to their formal education, Margarita has obtained several certifications. In 2017, they completed courses in Business Analytics for Decision Making from Coursera and obtained certifications in Guy Kawasaki on Entrepreneurship, Betty Liu on Career Success, and The Data Science of Marketing from LinkedIn.
