Noor Ashiah Yang has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles in the human resources field. Noor Ashiah began their career in 1994 as the Head of Economics Department at Kolej Yayasan Pelajaran MARA Kuala Lumpur. After that, they worked as a Specialist in Human Resources & Admin at Renong Berhad from 1998 to 2002, and also served as a Project Coordinator/Program Coordinator from 1997 to 1998 within the same company.

Subsequently, Noor Ashiah joined Dialog Group Berhad as the Head of Human Resources & Admin in 2002. Noor Ashiah then held the role of Group Senior Manager in Human Resources & Admin at Eden Group Berhad from 2004 to 2006. Following this, they moved on to become the Head of Human Resources, Admin & Corporate Comm at SapuraAcergy Sdn Bhd from 2006 to 2008, before transitioning to SapuraCrest Petroleum Berhad as the Senior General Manager of Human Resources/Head of Group Human Resources from 2008 to 2011.

Noor Ashiah continued their career at Petra Energy Berhad as the Head of Group Human Resources & Crew Management in 2011. In 2012, they moved to Bumi Armada as the SGM of HR and held this position until 2020. Currently, they work at Velesto Energy Berhad as the Vice President of Human Resources, starting in January 2020. Additionally, Noor Ashiah's most recent position is as the Vice President of Group Human Capital at Hibiscus Petroleum Berhad since February 2023.

Noor Ashiah Yang received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics (with honors) from the University of Laurentiene in Sudbury, Canada, in 1993. Noor Ashiah was also recognized for their excellent academic performance and was included on the Dean's List.
