Javier Ormazabal Echevarria has extensive leadership experience spanning several decades, currently serving as President of Velatia since January 1994, a family-owned industrial and technological group focused on advanced solutions for smart cities and electric networks. In addition, Javier is a member of the Advisory Board to the President of Orgalim, representing various European technology industries. Previous roles include President of AEFAME from January 2015 to May 2019, and President of TECNALIA Research & Innovation from January 2011 to June 2016. Javier also served as President & CEO of Grupo ORMAZABAL before its rebranding to Velatia. Educational background includes a degree in Economics from Universidad del País Vasco, as well as studies at IESE Business School and London Business School.
