Asanka Sanjeewa has a rich culinary background with extensive experience in fine dining and kitchen management across various prestigious resorts in the Maldives. Currently serving as Senior Sous Chef at Velaa Private Island since January 2019, Asanka has previously held significant roles including Sous Chef at Sea Sand Finolhu Island Resort and Jur Sous Chef at Huvafen Fushi. With a career spanning over two decades, Asanka has worked in various capacities from Commis at Velavaru Island Resort and Spa to Chef de Partie in multiple fine dining establishments, showcasing a robust progression in expertise and leadership within the culinary field.
