Tom Meijerink serves as the Chair of the annual fire brigade event at Brandweer Nederland since October 2021, overseeing a two-day conference organized by and for the fire service. Since May 2009, Tom has held the position of Team Leader for fire services in Salland at Veiligheidsregio IJsselland, managing 160 volunteers and 40 professional colleagues across seven stations. Additionally, Tom has experience as the Head Officer on Duty (HOVD) and previously served as an Officer on Duty at Brandweer Deventer and in various operational roles with Brandweer Twente. Tom's education includes advanced courses at Brandweeracademie (IFV) and a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Saxion University of Applied Sciences.
