Raygene Martier, PhD has a wide range of work experience. In 2007, they began their career as a Research Intern at the University Medical Center Groningen. The following year, they worked as a Lab Technician in Microbiology at Friesland Foods Leeuwarden. In 2009, they moved to the United States to work as a Research Intern in Molecular Genetics and Microbiology at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. In 2010, they returned to the Netherlands to work as a Research Intern in Molecular Cell Biology at Leiden University. In 2011, they worked as a Research Intern in Clinical Assays at Crucell. The following year, they worked as an Associate Research Scientist at Galapagos. From 2013 to 2020, they worked at uniQure in various roles, including Scientist & IP Support, PhD Candidate, and Technician Emerging Technologies. Finally, in 2022, they began working as an Intellectual Property Manager at VectorY.
Raygene Martier, PhD completed a Bachelor of Biotechnology from NHL Hogeschool from 2005 to 2009. Following this, they attained an Msc in Biomolecular Sciences from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) between 2010 and 2013. Finally, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Gene Therapy, RNAi, and Neurodegenerative Diseases from Leiden University in 2020.
