Jonathan Kohler has a diverse work experience spanning from 2007 to 2019. In 2007, they worked as a Web Developer for Business Services and Solutions, LLC. In 2009, they were a Research Intern at the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Selforganization. From 2010 to 2012, they held multiple roles at Vanderbilt University, including Research Intern, Department of Physics, Help Desk TA and Tutor. In 2010, they also co-founded Triple Thread Apparel, serving as Technical Director. From 2012 to 2019, they worked at University of California, Berkeley, first as a Postdoctoral Scholar, then as a Graduate Student Researcher and Graduate Student Instructor. In 2019, they began working at Vector Atomic as a Senior Scientist and Scientist.

Jonathan Kohler began their education in 2003, graduating from Berean Christian High School in 2007. Jonathan then attended Vanderbilt University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Physics and Mathematics in 2011. In 2012, Jonathan began their graduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley, earning a Master of Arts in Physics in 2014. Jonathan continued their studies at the same institution, completing a Doctor of Philosophy in Physics in 2018. In 2009, Jonathan also attended The University of Edinburgh, although no degree was obtained.
