James B. Foley is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in diplomacy and consultancy. Currently a columnist for Večernji list since January 2019, Foley writes the bi-weekly column "A View from Washington." As a board member of the Fredonia College Foundation Board of Directors since 2016 and an independent consultant at Foley Consultants, LLC, James B. specializes in project development within the overseas hospitality sector and has advised on refugee issues for the World Bank. Foley's prior diplomatic career at the U.S. Department of State spanned over three decades, including roles as the United States Ambassador to Croatia and Interim Commandant at the National War College.
