Laura Luisa Onken has extensive experience in sustainability and energy efficiency, currently serving as Projektleiterin Nachhaltigkeit at the Bundesverband der Energie-Abnehmer (VEA) since February 2020. In this role, Laura develops and conducts climate strategy workshops for companies, creates individualized sustainability strategies, and provides training on sustainability management and reporting. Previously, Laura coordinated projects focused on energy efficiency at IFW - Institut für Fertigungstechnik und Werkzeugmaschinen, where Laura worked from April 2018 to January 2020 as a Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin and earlier as a student assistant. Additional experience includes a role in KVP-Management at MEYER WERFT GmbH & Co. KG during a practical internship and a position at The Manitowoc Company. Laura holds a Master of Science in Production and Logistics from Leibniz Universität Hannover and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Jade Hochschule, along with international study experience at Chalmers University of Technology.
