David Munasinghe has extensive experience in leadership roles within the metals industry, currently serving as Managing Director of VDM Metals UK Ltd since March 2014. Prior to this position, David held the same role at Outokumpu VDM UK Ltd from January 2013 to February 2014, as well as at ThyssenKrupp VDM UK Ltd from 2008 to March 2013. David's career began in key roles at Plansee Metals from 1999 to 2007, where responsibilities included Key Account Manager and Sales Manager. Additionally, David served as Industry Manager at Special Metals Corporation from 1995 to 1999. Academically, David earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Fracture Mechanics from Imperial College London, completing studies there from 1983 to 1990.
