Martyna Kalvaitytė is a PhD researcher at Hertie School and an AI trustworthiness researcher at VDE since September 2023. Most recently, Martyna served as an Internet of Rights Fellow at ARTICLE 19 and as a research associate at the Centre for Digital Governance, where responsibilities included managing research activities for Prof. Joanna J Bryson’s team and investigating AI patenting. Prior experience includes leading a research team at the Center for AI and Digital Policy, contributing to the European Commission as a Blue Book trainee, and working as a digital policy analyst at Surfshark. Martyna's academic background comprises a Master's degree in Public Policy from Sciences Po and ongoing PhD studies at Hertie School, alongside significant research experience at esteemed institutions such as the OECD and Harvard University.
