Adam Balazs

Senior Software Engineer at Vay

Adam Balazs has held several software engineering positions throughout their career.

Adam started as a Programmer at Labtech Ltd. in 2008, where they worked on the inspection of Holter electrocardiographic (ECG) signals to detect heart diseases.

In 2011, they joined Infomatix Ltd. as a Software Engineer, focusing on the implementation of virtual machines for a software development kit (SDK) that allowed developers to write applications for multiple platforms.

Later in 2011, Adam became the Chief Software Engineer at Intellio, leading the development of video content-based solutions for traffic and security situations. Adam worked on a complex detector infrastructure and an object tracker engine.

In 2017, Adam joined Verizon Smart Communities Hungary as an Embedded Software Engineer. Adam was responsible for the embedded and cloud-based object detection and tracking engine. Adam'sduties also involved feature planning and component design.

In 2021, Adam became a Senior Software Developer at Laerdal Medical, where they focused on maintaining and improving the SimPad product-line and services. The SimPad team integrated and connected various components to create an easy-to-use training tool for customers.

Most recently, Adam joined Vay as a Senior Software Engineer in 2022. Adam'steam is responsible for the video and audio pipelines of vehicles and Telestations. They capture video frames from vehicle cameras, process them in a video processing pipeline, and hand over the encoded packets to the networking stack.

Adam Balazs attended Debreceni Egyetem from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained a Software Engineer B.Sc. degree. Adam has also earned several certifications in the field of data science from Coursera:

- In April 2018, they completed the "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" course.

- In June 2018, they completed the "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization" course.

- In September 2018, they completed the "Convolutional Neural Networks" course.

- In December 2018, they completed the "Sequence Models" course.
