Geetika Agrawal has had a diverse range of work experiences throughout their career. In 2005, they co-founded Urbanminds, where they served as a producer and interactive art curator for live music events and annual events that combined sound, art, and emerging technologies. Geetika later worked at Seso Media Group as a user-experience lead, leading design and development for various web and digital products. In 2008, they joined Odopod Inc. as an interaction designer, focusing on user research and creating wireframes for Microsoft and Seattle Children's Hospital. Agrawal also worked as a creative director at Self, where they led projects for non-profit initiatives and MTV Networks. From 2013 to 2015, they served as an adjunct professor at the School of Visual Arts. Agrawal was selected as a digital nomad for Remote Year in 2015, during which they traveled to 12 countries and built and launched two ventures: VAWAA and Food For Thought. Geetika then founded VAWAA, a platform that allows people to book apprenticeships with master artists worldwide. In 2022, they became a founding member of the old girls club. Throughout their career, Agrawal has worked with national and global clients, including AARP, MasterCard, Samsung, and Walmart, and has received recognition for their work, such as winning the People’s Choice Award at DEMO Fall07 for a project they worked on for Advanta.
Geetika Agrawal holds a Master of Science degree in Industrial Design from ArtCenter College of Design, which they obtained from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, Geetika completed their studies in Interior Architecture at CEPT, Ahmedabad, India, from 1996 to 2002. In addition, they have recently obtained a Fundraising MasterClass Certificate from ennea capital partners in 2021.
