Daniela Medina is a dedicated undergraduate student at the University of Pennsylvania, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. Currently serving as a Peer Mentor at the University of Pennsylvania Center for Undergraduate Research and Fellowships, Daniela provides essential support to first and second-year students seeking research experience. As Team Leader and President at VAW Global Health Alliances, Daniela leads medical outreach initiatives in Latin America, coordinating healthcare programs and raising significant funding for community health improvements. Experience as a Research Assistant at the National Institutes of Health includes conducting biomedical research on chronic kidney disease and drug-induced liver disease, with findings presented at esteemed symposiums. Additionally, Daniela serves as a First Generation Mentor, supporting first-generation college students in their transition to university life.
