Sandy Simmons has a diverse work experience starting in 2012 at SpaceX, where they held various roles including Intern, New Graduate and Software Recruiting, Software Engineer, Lead Software Engineer, and Software Engineering Manager. They joined VAST in 2023 as Director of Software Reliability and Test.

Sandy Simmons obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Physics and Astrophysics from Florida State University, completing their education between 2008 and 2012.
