Melissa Larson, CPA, has over three decades of experience in the accounting field, currently serving as the owner of Varney & Associates, CPAs, LLC since 2003. Specializing in attest, consulting, and tax preparation services for financial institutions, Melissa’s expertise includes external financial statement audits, internal audits, and compliance exams. Prior experience includes positions at Allen, Gibbs & Houlik, L.C., UMB Bank, and Arthur Andersen. Melissa is actively engaged in the profession as a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Kansas Society of CPAs. Melissa holds a degree from Kansas State University, earned between 1987 and 1991.
