Hampton Young is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in both full stack development and big data environments. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Variant Inc. since August 2021, Hampton previously worked at Polaris Alpha, where the role involved specializing in Java and Python within big data contexts from June 2017 to August 2021. Prior to that, Hampton contributed as a Software Engineer at the United States Department of Defense from August 2013 to June 2017, working with a range of programming languages and technologies including Java, Python, Groovy, Elasticsearch, MySQL, Grails, Spring/Hibernate, and Maven. Hampton holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Kentucky, earned between 2012 and 2015.
