Richard Colbeth has a strong background in engineering and detectors, with previous roles at Varex Imaging Corporation and Varian Medical Systems. At Varex Imaging Corporation, they hold the position of Senior VP Engineering, Detectors since January 2017. Prior to that, Richard served as the VP & GM X-ray Detectors at Varian Medical Systems from January 2014 to December 2016.

Richard Colbeth has a strong background in electrical engineering, as evidenced by their education history. Richard first attended Lehigh University from 1978 to 1982, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering. Afterward, they pursued further studies at Yale University from 1983 to 1984, earning a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE).
