Eoin O'Tuairisg

CMOS Imager Development Engineer at Varex Imaging

Eoin O'Tuairisg has extensive experience in the field of electronic engineering, with a focus on CMOS detector design for medical and industrial applications. Eoin began their career at PrairieComm as an Associate SoC Engineer in 2001 before moving on to Knowles Corporation as a Hardware Engineer in 2002. From 2004 to 2008, Eoin worked as a Development Engineer at Simoco Wireless Solutions, where they contributed to the design of wireless radio base stations and developed a hands-free voice-activation feature for in-car use. Eoin then joined Dexela Ltd in 2008 as an Electronic Engineer, specializing in the design of PCBs for CMOS Detectors. In 2011, Eoin joined PerkinElmer Optoelectronics as a CMOS Detector Design Engineer, where they served as a Technical Lead for CMOS X-Ray Detector development projects. Eoin led hardware design efforts, conducted sensor characterization, and evaluated image quality. Currently, Eoin works at Varex Imaging Corporation as a CMOS Imager Development Engineer, where they are responsible for analog, digital, and control circuit design of hardware for medical and industrial systems. Their role also includes implementing CMOS and IGZO sensors and collaborating with firmware and software teams for system control and communication.

Eoin O'Tuairisg began their education at the University of Galway, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronic Engineering. Eoin completed this degree in 1998. Following this, Eoin enrolled at Imperial College London in 1998 and obtained a Master of Science degree in Communications and Signal Processing in 1999. Finally, they attended the University of Cambridge, where they focused on Signal Processing without completing a degree, ending their educational journey in 2000.
