Ruben Nygård

Senior Project Planner at VÃ¥r Energi

Ruben Nygård has extensive work experience in project planning and management. Ruben started their career as an Assistance Engineer Instrument at Statoil ASA in 2006, where they ensured the implementation of HSE practices and was responsible for safety on their own activities.

In 2007, they joined Austevoll Kraftlag BA/Lysglimt as an Engineer, where they managed the operations department and was responsible for planning short- and long-term calculations in power supply. Ruben also handled customer contact and planning for AK's new facilities.

Following this, Ruben worked for ABB AS as a Planner, covering all phases of project service, from preparation of Master Contract Schedules to interface with document control and cost.

In 2008, they returned to Statoil ASA as a Senior Planner, where they were part of the new plan department at the Subsea organization. Ruben gained an overview of all Subsea activities and visualized risks and solutions. Ruben also handled shutdown planning, operational planning, Subsea planning, and maintenance planning.

Ruben then joined AS Norske Shell in 2014 as a Shutdown Senior Planner, overseeing all phases of projects and ensuring smooth progress. Ruben utilized SAP and Safran Project for status updates.

In 2016, Ruben worked as a Senior Planner at ABB AB, planning all phases of projects using Primavera P6 and controlling contracts and purchasing. Ruben also visualized risks and made suggestions for solutions.

Later that year, they transitioned to Thales Oslo as a Senior Planner, where they planned all phases of projects using Microsoft Project. Ruben also utilized planning principles to control contracts and purchasing and participated in weekly status meetings.

Ruben joined Beerenberg Corp. AS in 2016 as a Senior Planner Production, handling various projects related to insulation, scaffold, and surface to completion. Ruben used Safran Project, MIPS, and Webtiv for planning and conducted daily/weekly status meetings internally and with clients.

Currently, Ruben is working at VÃ¥r Energi as a Senior Project Planner from 2018 onwards.

Ruben Nygård began their education at Høgskolen i Narvik in 1996, where they pursued a degree in Engineering with a focus on Sterkstrøm. Ruben successfully completed this program in the year 2000. Following this, from 1999 to 2000, Ruben enrolled in another degree program at Høgskolen i Narvik, this time majoring in Practical Economics and Management (PØL). Ruben'scoursework primarily revolved around the field of Economics and Management.
