John Close has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. John started their career at MetaDesign as a junior designer intern before progressing to the roles of designer and senior designer. Notable clients during this period included Apple, IBM, and Nike. At The Leonhardt Group/Fitch, they served as the Creative Director and was responsible for managing a team of designers and shaping the firm's creative direction. John also played a crucial role in developing a non-linear digital sales tool for Airborne Express. Later, at Push Design, John held the position of Principal/Creative Director and led the development of a scalable system for property websites. Most recently, they joined Vant4ge, where they held two key roles as Director of User Experience/Product Manager and Director of Product.

John Close completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Graphic Design from the California College of the Arts between 1992 and 1995.
