Derek William Anderson

VP Business Improvement at Vanderbilt University Medical Center

Derek William Anderson has over 15 years of progressive business experience with Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI), where they held various roles including control engineering, global strategic sourcing, international business experience, global supply chain, IT, construction, simulation, and plant management and operations. Derek William then worked at Fiberweb, where they held various roles and eventually became the President of the North American Industrial Division, responsible for leading and managing the business. After that, Anderson joined Vanderbilt University Medical Center as the VP of Business Improvement. Currently, they are also an adjunct professor at Vanderbilt University - Owen Graduate School of Management.

Derek William Anderson completed their Bachelor of Science degree (BSc Hons) in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, and Chemical at Heriot-Watt University from 1981 to 1985. Later, they pursued a Masters in Management Health Care (MMHC) in Business, Healthcare, Economics, and Policy at Vanderbilt University - Owen Graduate School of Management from 2013 to 2014. Additionally, in 2019, they engaged in a healthcare program at the Nashville Health Care Council.
