Karolien De Maen is an experienced procurement leader with a robust background in indirect procurement and supply chain management. Currently serving as Head of Indirect Procurement at Vandemoortele since February 2015, Karolien previously held positions including Procurement Director at ASCO, where responsibilities encompassed direct, indirect, and CAPEX purchasing, as well as supplier quality management for multiple international sites. Karolien's career also includes roles such as Commodity Manager and Production Leader at Tower Automotive, and various positions at General Motors, including Superintendent and Project Purchasing Manager, with notable expatriate assignments in France. Karolien holds a Master's Degree in Economics from Ghent University, earned between 1989 and 1995.
