Chief Human Resources Officer Robert Martin provides strategic leadership for Vancouver Clinic’s overall human resources strategy. This includes talent acquisition, leadership development, diversity and inclusion, organizational design and development, employee education and development, compensation and benefits, HR operations and technology, and employee relations.
Prior to joining the clinic, Robert spent 11 years as vice president of human resources with Austin Regional Clinic, the largest multispecialty, physician-owned medical group in the greater Austin, Texas, area. Before that he held various leadership positions in the manufacturing and medical device industries as well as in higher education.
Robert holds a bachelor’s degree in human resources management from Western New England University. He has served in various volunteer roles, including as a board member of a large, Austin-based Federally Qualified Health Center clinic system, and as a planning and zoning commissioner for a fast-growing suburb of Austin.
He has earned Senior Professional in Human Resources certification, Certified Compensation Professional certification, and Senior Certified Professional certification from the Society for Human Resource Management.
