Laurenne Schiller is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in marine science and research. Currently serving as an Ocean Wise Research Analyst at the Vancouver Aquarium since December 2014, Laurenne has a strong background in communication and data analysis from previous roles, including a Research Assistant at the Nereus Program, where responsibilities included writing and editing scientific articles and participating in marine sustainability workshops. Additional experience as a Naturalist with Prince of Whales involved educating guests about marine biology and conservation. Laurenne also held roles as a Teaching Assistant at the University of British Columbia and a Research Assistant at the University of Guelph, focusing on genetics, ecology, and biomaterials. Laurenne holds a Master of Science in Zoology from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Science in Marine and Freshwater Biology from the University of Guelph.
