Jamie Smidt, MBA, currently serves in a Practice Development role at Vance Thompson Vision since September 2018. Previously, Jamie worked as the Corporate Events Director at the American Heart Association, overseeing fundraising campaigns such as the Sioux Falls Go Red For Women Dinner and the Sioux Falls Heart Walk. From July 2012 to August 2016, Jamie held the position of Senior Event Manager and Development Manager at Junior Achievement of South Dakota, focusing on achieving fundraising goals and managing various events. Jamie began the career at Avera Health, serving as an IT Administrative Assistant and an IT Intern from June 2009 to June 2012. Jamie earned an MBA in Business Administration and Management from Colorado Technical University and a BA in Business Administration with focuses on Management/Marketing, Communication Studies, and Sociology from the University of Sioux Falls.
