Axel Damen is a Junior Business Intelligence Consultant at Van Dam Datapartners since March 2023, following a tenure as a Master Research and Development Intern at Fitsurance, where an AI-based exercise recommendation system was developed. Previous experiences include roles as a Research Intern analyzing altitude chamber adaptations at Sportmedisch Centrum Fysiomed and supporting an exercise physiologist at the Sør Olympic Training Centre during a research internship at the University of Agder. Additional experience includes managing external affairs and educational initiatives for Vereniging In Beweging and various positions in hospitality. Axel Damen holds two Master's degrees from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in Human Movement Sciences and Artificial Intelligence, along with a Bachelor's degree in Human Movement Sciences from the same institution.
