Ted Fischer has extensive work experience in automation engineering, with a strong focus on design, implementation, testing, and commissioning support of automation systems. Ted has worked as a Lead Automation Engineer at Valspec since 2020. Prior to that, they served as a Lead Automation Engineer at Zenith Technologies from 2015 to 2020, where they led a team of engineers and worked on key projects for Genentech and Amgen. Before Zenith Technologies, Ted worked as a Senior Principal Engineer at Baxter Healthcare from 2011 to 2015 and as a Sr. Automation Engineer at Barry-Wehmiller Design Group from 2005 to 2011. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Systems Engineer at Proconex/Emerson from 1999 to 2005 and as a Project/Process Engineer at Purolite Company from 1997 to 1999. At Proconex/Emerson, they led efforts in the design, implementation, testing, and validation of automation and control systems for various major projects. At Purolite Company, they were responsible for capital projects and process improvements, including waste water remediation and plant automation.
Ted Fischer earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Biology from Washington University in St. Louis in the years 1993 to 1997. Ted later pursued a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering with a focus on Modeling and Controls at Drexel University from 2001 to 2003.
