Gianluca Sacco has worked in various roles since 2012. From 2012 to 2014, they were an Associate Lecturer at the University of the Witwatersrand, developing coursework in financial accounting and finance, providing lectures and tutorials, and co-ordinating/supervising examinations and tests. In 2013, they were a Trainee Accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers Limited. From 2014 to 2017, they were an Associate at McKinsey & Company and an Analyst at Foord Asset Management. From 2014 to 2018, they were a Visiting Lecturer at the Institute of Accounting Science, developing coursework and providing lectures to aspiring CA(SA)'s. Since 2018, they have been a Volunteer Analyst at Messari, researching particular projects, gathering relevant data and writing introductory reports for cryptoassets to help industry participants make sense of disparate sources of sometimes conflicting information. Since 2019, they have been the Chief Operating Officer at VALR.
