Joel Birky is an experienced professional in program development and management, currently serving as the Director of Program Development at Valparaiso Family YMCA since August 2021. Previously, Joel held positions such as Merchandise Specialist at Luke Family of Brands and Program Manager at County Line Orchard, where responsibilities included booking tours and managing staff. Joel also worked as a Case Manager at Porter-Starke Services, Inc., focusing on client coping skills and community resources. Prior experience includes serving as Team Sales Representative and Manager at Blythes Athletics, along with coaching varsity volleyball at Wheeler High School. Joel holds a degree in Liberal Studies with a focus on Psychology and Education from Purdue University Northwest.
