Katherine Patterson is an experienced educator and administrative professional currently serving as a teacher at Gary Lighthouse Charter School since July 2024 and as a utility aide with Valparaiso Community Schools since January 2023. Prior to these roles, Katherine coordinated events and rentals for Porter County Parks and Recreation, oversaw administrative functions at Montessori Children's House, and worked as a secretary at Hillsborough County Public Schools. From September 2006 to May 2019, Katherine served as a Chaplain Assistant in the United States Air Force. Katherine holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Hospitality Administration/Management from Strayer University and an Associate's degree in Hotel, Motel, and Restaurant Management from the Community College of the Air Force. Additionally, Katherine is pursuing further education at Valparaiso University.
