Prajwal Devkota's work experience includes various roles in the field of data science and software development. Prajwal currently serves as a Staff Data Scientist at Valo since September 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Scipher Medicine as a Data Scientist from July 2021 to July 2022, where they were responsible for designing and maintaining bioinformatics pipelines, developing platforms and algorithms for patient stratification, and summarizing and communicating results to project teams. Before that, Prajwal worked at the University of Miami, where they served as a Research Assistant from January 2015 to May 2021, conducting computational analysis of RNAseq data and identifying key kinases involved in the regeneration of axons. Prajwal also analyzed different biological networks to identify disease genes, cancer causal genes, and drug targets. Additionally, they worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Miami from November 2016 to May 2020, supporting professors and students in various computer science courses. Prajwal's earlier experience includes working as a Software Developer at Nomad eCommerce from May 2008 to August 2014, where they developed an ERP integrated eCommerce system, created custom SQL replication using ETL methods, and integrated 3rd party solutions through APIs.

Prajwal Devkota has a strong educational background in computer science and mathematics. Prajwal completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Mathematics at McKendree University in 2008. Prajwal continued their studies at the University of Miami, where they obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science in 2020. Currently, Prajwal is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science at the University of Miami, which is expected to be completed in 2021.
