Jim C. has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Jim began their career in the US Navy, serving as an Officer from 1990 to 1998 and later as a Surface Warfare Officer in the Navy Reserves from 1998 to 2018.
In 1998, Jim transitioned to the private sector and joined GE Lighting, where they worked as a Commercial Quality Manager and Product Quality Manager until 2004. Jim then moved to General Electric Healthcare, where they served as a Senior Consultant, specializing in process optimization and continuous improvement strategies for healthcare clients across the United States. Jim was also a member of GE Healthcare's Hospital of the Future team, focusing on facility design and clinical operations.
In 2011, Jim joined Premier, Inc. as the Director of Performance Engineering before transitioning to Valley Health later that year. At Valley Health, they held multiple roles, including Management Engineer and System Director of Management Engineering, where they led initiatives such as high reliability cultural transformation, senior leader rounding program creation, and the development of Lean Daily Management System (LDMS).

Jim C. obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemical Engineering from Lehigh University, where they studied from 1986 to 1990. Jim further pursued their education and completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Shenandoah University, from 2018 to 2020. In addition, Jim obtained the CPPS certification from the Certification Board for Professionals in Patient Safety (CBPPS) in December 2021.
